Gears of War Prequel?

Interesting thigns coming out of the New York Comic Con, including ideas about a prequel and single-player DLC.

The future of the Gears of War franchise was discussed during the Q&A panel at this year's New York Comic Con.

Panel guests included Joshua Ortega, Gears of War 2 writer, and Carlos Ferro, the voice of Dominic Santiago. During the panel they answered questions from the fans.

One fan asked if there were any plans to create a prequel related based on Emergency Day, the day that the Locust boiled from beneath the planet Sera and attacked the human race.

"You will not be disappointed in the next ten years," Ortega replied. "It's a ten-year plan. Gears is long-term. The lancer is the new lightsaber."

When asked about additional single-player Gears of War 2 downloadable content (DLC), Ortega replied, "Keep watching. You won't be disappointed." View/Post Comments
