First Dragon Age 3 Details Emerge

Dragon Age 3 details reveal name, story and the fact that Dragon Age 3 requires a new engine to be built for a more expansive world, better visuals and more customization!

BioWare has officialy revealed that it has been working on Dragon Age 3 for the past two years. Executive producer Mark Darrah's announcement revealed very little about the game, as he didn't want to delve into Dragon Age 3's story, but he did reveal the new title of the game, which will give gamers some idea as to what the story will entail, as well as a few tidbits that should get gamers excited.

The Dragon Age 3 team has apparently taken fan feedback into consideration while developing the upcoming game, so those that were dissapointed in Dragon Age 2 can be assured that the same mistakes will not be made in the third installment of the Dragon Age franchise.

"Part of that effort has involved you, our fans, and the feedback you´ve provided for Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, and their DLC. We´ve visited message boards, read reviews, and we´ve gone to events to have direct face to face conversations with some of our most passionate fans. We´ve been listening, and we will continue to listen," Mark wrote.

• The next game will be called Dragon Age III: Inquisition.

• This game is being made by a lot of the same team that has been working on Dragon Age since Dragon Age: Origins. It's composed of both experienced BioWare veterans and talented new developers

• The Dragon Age 3 team is working on a new engine which they believe will allow them to deliver a more expansive world, better visuals, more reactivity to player choices, and more customization. Customization will include such things as followers and armor, which was discussed at PAX East. The Frostbite 2 from DICE is serving as the foundation for the new engine.

The Dragon Age franchise has received over 80 awards from critics around the world, and has sold over 8 million copies to date. Created by BioWare, the property has spawned many novels, an animated film, comic books, collectibles and more since Dragon Age: Origins launched in 2009. View/Post Comments
